Television is filled with commercials offering medications for depression. That's because record numbers of people are depressed as the pressures of life hinder the fulfillment of their dreams and goals.
In Psalm 41:1 it says, "Thou has enlarged me while I was in distress." Could it be that the same situation that seems to be the end of you may be the foundation to the greatest blessing of your life? "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit" (John 12:24).
If you are depressed for any reason begin to realize that the joy of the Lord is your strength. Realize that God has given you the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. Understand that through God you can shake the spirit of depression and move towards victory.
